Two Reasons I'm Excited About July πŸ’πŸŽ‰βœ¨

Dear creative Reader

July has always felt like a month of creativity for me. It's a time to slow down, play with paper, and explore new ideas without worrying too much about the outcome. This year, I'm embracing that spirit by celebrating International Zine Month and getting ready for one of my favorite creative events of the year.

If you've been looking for inspiration to make something with your hands this summer, I have a couple of ideas to share with you.

Celebrate Zine Month with Me

I've loved making zines for years. There's something magical about transforming a single sheet of paper into a tiny handmade book filled with paintings, collage, stamps, words, and stories.

Last week, I shared the first part of my floral zine tutorial, where I demonstrated a simple folding technique that turns one sheet of paper into an eight-page zine.

Now, Part 2 is here!

In this new video, I'm decorating the remaining pages with three more mixed media designs, creating the front and back covers, and sharing one of my favorite parts of the process: adding words and meaningful quotes that tie the whole zine together.

If you've already started your own zine after watching Part 1, I'd love for you to finish it alongside me. And if you haven't started yet, there's no better excuse than International Zine Month to give it a try.

The Flower Magic Art Fest Begins in Just a Few Days

Another reason I always look forward to July is the Flower Magic Art Fest.

Although I'm not one of the teachers this year, I'll definitely be participating. It's honestly my favorite floral journaling event of the year, and I wouldn't want to miss it.

The festival runs from July 12–31 and this year's theme is Roots & Wings. A beautiful reminder that our creativity grows from the things that ground us while also encouraging us to explore, experiment, and trust the creative process.

Over twenty days, you'll enjoy 11 classes taught by 10 incredible artists, exploring techniques such as eco-printing, gel printing, collage, book arts, eco-dyeing, mixed media, and more. You'll also receive bonus content, lifetime access to every class, and the chance to create alongside a vibrant community of artists from around the world.

What makes this event so special isn't just the projectsβ€”it's the shared creative energy. Every morning there's something new to discover, and seeing everyone's artwork unfold throughout the festival is incredibly inspiring. It's one of those experiences that leaves you creatively energized long after it's over.

The festival begins in just five days, and Early Bird registration is available until July 11 for just €57. After that the price increases.

If you've been thinking about joining, I'd truly love to see you there. I'll be creating right alongside everyone else, and I can't wait to immerse myself in twenty days of flowers, color, and mixed media.

Whether you're folding a tiny floral zine or filling journal pages during the festival, I hope this month gives you plenty of opportunities to slow down, experiment, and enjoy the creative process.

As always, if you create something inspired by my videos or if you're joining the Flower Magic Art Fest, I'd love to hear from you. Your messages and photos always brighten my day.

Happy creating,
